The goal of this project was to design a handcrafted product for regional gastronomy. The main traditional dish of the town of Florianópolis is the shrimp sequence, that consists of seven different dishes made of shrimp and served in a row. That’s a dish usualy made by the fishermen in the town’s lake.

Restraints: produced with local materials and techniques

The idea: to relate the legends of the island with the shrimp sequence, and to design the plates inspired by the forms of the fishermen boats.

Details: set of seven varnished ceramic plates, with imagery form books of a regional artist who pictured the regional legends of mystic animals and fantastic beings (Franklin Cascaes). Simple packaging easily made from waved cardboard and sisal strings.
